Terms of use

These terms apply between you and divebuddypro (Arndt Kemper) for the use of the DiveBuddy Pro app and this website.

• Account and cloud features require registration with accurate details.
• Credentials must be kept confidential; you are responsible for activity via your account.
• The age and usage requirements of the respective app store and the law of your country apply. Minors may use the app only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Accounts may not be resold or commercially transferred to third parties.

• No unlawful, abusive, harassing, discriminatory or dangerous content.
• No infringement of third-party copyright, trademark or personality rights.
• No automated bulk access, no probing of other accounts, no circumvention of security or sharing mechanisms.
• No false statements about certifications, qualifications or offers.

You retain the rights to your content. So that the app can function, you grant the provider a simple, non-exclusive and technically necessary permission to store, process and display your content to the extent you choose.

• The extent of display follows your sharing settings (private, buddies, public, share link).
• Display ends when you revoke sharing or delete the content.
• You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to the content you upload – including for people shown in photos and videos.

• Posts, offers, courses and events originate from users and pros. The provider is not a party to such offers.
• No warranty is given for accuracy, availability, qualification, prices or delivery of user offers.
• Contracts about offers are concluded solely between the users involved.

• Content can be reported; violations of these terms or the community guidelines may lead to removal of content.
• In case of serious or repeated violations, access can be restricted or suspended.
• Affected users may object to a measure by email; complaints are reviewed.

• Paid features are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your store account; cancellation happens there only.
• The store's withdrawal and refund rules apply in addition to your statutory rights.

• Features may be developed further, changed or discontinued.
• There is no entitlement to uninterrupted availability or to a specific feature.

All planning, calculation and information features are support tools. They replace neither dive training, a certified dive computer, a medical assessment nor your own safety decisions. DiveBuddy Pro is not a training organisation and issues no certifications.

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and in further cases of mandatory statutory liability. For simple negligence the provider is liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation and limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.

The provider is not liable for content, statements and offers of other users. No blanket exclusion for personal injury, intent or mandatory law is agreed.

• You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account.
• Active store subscriptions must additionally be cancelled in your store account.

German law applies unless mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence state otherwise. Version 1.0, 14 September 2026.
